Brushing And Flossing Teeth Properly Can Remedy Swollen Gums
Failure to properly brush and carefully floss teeth can allow plaque and tartar to accumulate on the base of the teeth. Dental pockets are caused by inflammation to develop between the gums and the teeth causing bleeding and swollen gums to happen. The swelling of the soft tissue traps the plaque in the pocket. If you leave gum inflammation to continue, tissue and bone surrounding the tooth will be destroyed. Gum infection may soon arise and tooth abscess may develop increasing the rate of bone destruction because plaque contains bacteria releases toxins that causes gums to be irritated and infected.
